Halo 2 is a video game released in 2004. It is the sequel to Halo 1, a game made by Bungie and released in 2001. Halo follows the story of John Halo (master chief to his friends) as he and his pal arbiter do something, I dont know. There are many shadows such as Stencil shadows and Baked shadows. The Covenant want to steal the Oven John Halo uses to Bake his shadows and it is up to the UNSC to stop them. Halo Spartans Didact 343 industries Halo Infinite Halo 7 Playstation Xbox and other things that may help this video get seen
2004 was 20 years ago, that counts as retro, right?
Halo 1 was only for PCs (at release) and didn’t support local split screen play.
Halo 2 added local split screen multiplayer, and needed to run on console hardware.
I assume one, or both, of those factors made the difference.
I, personally, didn’t notice, because I played Halo 1 with the graphics scaled down so my humble gaming PC could run it.
Edit: oh, it’s a video answering, not just a discussion post …
Awkward.
I guess I can check out the video for a researched answer!
Halo 1 was on Xbox before PC https://www.igdb.com/games/halo-combat-evolved#releases
Xbox in 2001, PC in 2003
and the Xbox version did have split screen
Halo 1 was originally on the Apple Mac computers.
I remember my work colleague having an early access release because he is quite connected.
It was beautiful and we couldn’t believe that a Mac could do something like that back in the day.
Microsoft saw it jumped on it and straight away extinguished the Mac version and ported it over to the Xbox.
The Mac version was absolutely canned. They did not want gaming competition from Apple in any way, especially something as impressive as Halo 1 was back then.
