I think I’ve given up on finding Farside funny. I must just not be enlightened enough.
It’s a play on two things: parents threatening ‘consequences’ if kids roughhoused on the bed, and telling kids not to throw rocks at/antagonize hornet nests (both of which kids would often do anyways).
Decades ago 12 year old me found these hilarious. You see it’s because of the implications.
