musicians don’t look at their score, is that the joke?
I think the joke is that the “musician” doesn’t recognize sheet music, hence the incredulous look from the conductor
The music notes are portrayed as dots on the comics. As a reader you assume that in context they are actually music notes, but the character sees them as actual dots insead.
