THE FINALS: Season 4 Power Shift - #45 Worldwide
I couldn’t find the rabbit on Friendica’s website, but I did find it here: https://joinfediverse.wiki/Fediverse_mascots#Flaxy_O’Hare
You’re right, it’s awful lol.
What’s crazy is that all I really want out of a social platform is 2010’s Facebook. That was perfect. I was keeping in touch with friends and staying updated with their lives. I want that back so bad.
I believe we’re also already getting dangerously close to depleting our supply of helium, as well.
It was my understanding that these vessels were propelled by flatulence.
I really want this to do well. I’ve lost a lot of faith in Konami in recent years, but the SH2 remake gives me a bit of hope, and I’d like to see them ride that momentum and breathe some new life into Silent Hill.
I’m excited, as I loved the first one. I’m not in love with the disconnect between visual designs in the the pre-rendered scenes and the gameplay, though; the cutscenes look like they’re for a completely different title altogether.
Also, no Miriam?
This dude has lived a post-Tubgirl life and thinks he’s tough.
im sick of mods. nobody likes mods!
Then self-host your own instance.
“Phobia” doesn’t mean “fear”, necessarily. Fear can absolutely be a factor of a phobia, but not a requirement. Technically, “phobia” just means “aversion to”. For instance, hydrophobic materials aren’t “afraid” of water, they just don’t interact with it.
That said, when it comes to homophobes, fear is definitely a common factor. Misinformation about human sexuality leads to people being afraid of being “converted”. But there are plenty of homophobes who aren’t as much afraid, as much as they are just plain hateful.
But if a movie bombs, that’s a bad thing.
It took a while to get there, but Cyberpunk 2077.
Some poor sap on Kepler-22b getting messages about their car’s extended warranty.
As someone who spent several years and hundreds of dollars on Destiny 2, I sure am glad to see that this is why we couldn’t get a new Crucible map for like five years.
I just recently finished this one, and The Man Who Erased His Name shortly after that. Apparently I’ve been sleeping on the Yakuza series, because they’re fantastic, and have amazing soundtracks.
As a Texan, it’s a relief to finally not be included on one of these lists for once.
I found no mention of it in their About/FAQ pages, so I’m assuming it’s all proprietary code.
PDSes and relays exist at the whim of Bluesky’s corporate entity. Having all of the endpoints on the network controlled by a single agent is what makes Bluesky centralized. If Bluesky decided so, your server can be removed from their network and is functionally useless at that point. They decide who is and is not allowed to be a part of Bluesky.
For contrast, no such governing body exists with ActivityPub networks. Nobody can decide whether or not an instance should be removed from the network, they can only choose whether or not to federate with that instance. If you wanted to truly silence a Lemmy instance, for example, it would take the cooperation of all the major Lemmy admins to defederate, and is an entirely democratic process as a result.
EDIT: To clarify, ATProto is not what is centralized, “Bluesky” the platform utilizing ATProto, is what’s centralized.
