I installed mine on OPNsense. I used the OPNsense documentation: https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/wireguard-client.html. And yet another if you want to set it up in docker: https://linuxiac.com/how-to-set-up-wireguard-vpn-with-docker/. However, the firewall rules can get a bit messy.
Why add the third party? Just run an instance of wireguard on your home network and call it a day.
