You responded to a FANTASTIC explanation of the difference by splitting hairs on what by your definition qualifies as a class.

A fantastic explanation? It literally isn’t an explanation, it’s a comparison of two statements. Which is fine, and so is the critique of those statements to examine their perceived contradictions.

From the perspective of the CPC and Marxist-Leninist theory, their ruling party represents the working class, just like our ruling parties represent the owner class of CEOs. [wikipedia page: DotP] Obviously that’s a contested claim which not even all Marxists will agree with, but it’s far from splitting hairs. It’s the basic foundation of the comparison, the implicit claim that one is a working class act and the other is not.

Ever considered it might lead people to the wrong person?

Not sure who these ‘people’ are, or how the given image could possibly do that, but considering that obstruction of this investigation is cool and productive I fail to see the problem.

    Forget.

    About.

    Him.

    hahaha

    NO.

They are a hero. They deserve celebration, commemoration and to hold a clear place in the minds of citizens, like the myth of Robin Hood once did. Remember him.

  • I’m annoyed that a lot of the sites I browse don’t have RSS feeds, and I’ve had to do some really tiresome hacks just to get some to work (for example, even tools like FreshRSS’s HTML parser doesn’t tell you the reason a feed broke, so there’s a dozen different things to adjust blindly until it works).

RSS saves me so much time, I used to waste hours just cycling through pages to see if any updated.

  • Quick notes for those who only know of Lemmy after the reddit API fiasco: from what I understand, reddit’s banning of /r/chapotraphouse in mid-2020 is how Hexbear came to be (biggest instance prior to API drama, albeit unfederated at the time due to major software divergence) and the banning of /r/genzedong, /r/genzhao and /r/genzhukov in March 2022 brought a large exodus of users onto lemmygrad.ml, making it the most popular federated instance until the reddit API changes.

  • As in, why here and not reddit? I drifted away from posting on reddit about 5 - 8 years ago. I was icky over their ads and tracking and it was just a time sink I didn’t need back then, but I would still use alternate frontends (the current equivalent would be libreddit) to lurk while on the train trip to work and back.

I forget whether I found lemmy from /r/piracy exploring bunker options (raddle and lemmy) or if it was through FOSS, but I liked its potential and have been here posting here since 2022.
