  • Living in the countryside be like. You have to chose between walking or alternatively driving home with your also intoxicated friend. I devinetively did both, but usually the second because my ass was lazy.

In my defence: It was always in the middle of the night only through back roads and only like 6km or something like that. Hes also a professional stoner, and hes used to driving while being somewhat high. I would not recommend doing it, but it is the downside of living in the countryside.

  • For me it really depends. I usually prefer the terminal for very simple tasks, or for tasks that are quite complex (complex in the way, that I dont really know what to do and have to look it up), because then its, at least in my opinion, much easier than having to use a GUI. This also includes such simple tasks as creating directories in my filesystem. I prefer the command line than having to open the file Programm, search for the right folder and then again having to search for the “create folder” button in the menu that pops up when doing right click.

However, I do almost everything regarding file systems (formatting drives etc) with gparted, because its just much more convenient than using a CLI tool.

  • Mildly related. In Germany (and I assume in other countries too, but I can’t confirm) depending on why your doctor freed you from work you are actually allowed to do such stuff. As example if you get called sick from the doctor for depression you are allowed to go clubbing, make a trip to the beach etc. This is because under German law you are only forbidden to do stuff that is not beneficial for your recovery, so doing stuff that makes you happy is absolutely allowed. I would suggest to not tell this your employer, because that can lead to a lot of unnecessary discussions, but you are allowed to do this.
