I like how they raised the price on the controllers and only used magnets for a non-issue and not for the thing that is the problem.
Personally won’t be doing the Kickstarter but would be interested in early access.
Pretty much. Greedy publishers are just following Nintendo’s lead that they can fleece gamers for more.
China blocked a game.
There hasn’t been a Hong Kong in quite a while now.
Are you referring to that chromatic hat guy? I’m in act 2 and I’ve spent about an hour trying to get one of his moves and it’s just not clicking with all of that delay and audio cues for me.
Now you know and no worries if you decide to do the romance path and watch the sex scene, other players won’t be made aware. :)
The biggest things for me is that I hate having to turn the music down in game to be able to hear the parrying cues.
Which will automatically put it in patient gamer territory for me.
And let’s take this outside of the myopic view of only looking at inflation.

Console gaming revenue: 1996 - 7 billion, 2022 - 30 billion
Let’s look at specifically Nintendo here since we’re talking about Super Mario 64
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2001/011121e.pdf
2001, 664 million in profit, adjusted for inflation in 2022 dollars, 1 billion.
2022, 1.7 billion dollars in profit.
You forget that in 1996 the gaming pool was also magnitudes smaller compared to today and despite all of the whining about increased development costs, which I also think is bullshit but that’s a different conversation, profits have increased to keep up.
So my opinion, no there’s absolutely no justification for a 80 dollar price point when you look at the over all picture.
I honestly think it will sell a lot because most gamers won’t be able to control themselves.
Sigh. They’re really trying to turn into the villain this generation aren’t they?
Just a big ol’ WTF is wrong with society.
They’re back and are independent.

Never say never in the US at least and never give these assholes corporations an inch they will screw you every chance they can and it will cost the consumer money and time in the end with these shenanigans.
And these people vote…
Heard the same crap when they moved from 60 to 70 just a few years back.
Heard how video game development is too expensive while publishers posted record profits.
Heard all about how the same 50 dollar game "back in the day"would cost hundreds now, disregarding how gaming was so much more niche back then too.
Heard the same crap about how these “full price games” would lessen the need for egregious microtransaction
This will again, do nothing to lessen any of that, just push more record profits as gamers won’t be able to resist rewarding the gaming industry for their bad behavior.
Kids not having the Saturday morning ritual and being disappointed because golf.
