I don’t get it. Is it an idiom?
it’s a fable, essentially, from Plato’s republic. A ship of fools is one governed by the strongest opinions/beliefs rather than sailing expertise.
almost 30 years ago when I was a teen, this exact comic frame made me laugh my fuckin ass off every time I saw it in this collection I had. I don’t know why, and it no longer has that effect… but seeing it after so long just reminded me of that. weird.
