It’s baffling how those 70s/80s molester/serial killer glasses became fashionable again. In the context of those decades they look barely alright, but when worn by people of today they just make a person look terrible.

Aviators never went out of style, they’re the cheapest large lens you can get!

I wear them in transitions and the wife and I love joking that I swap between “badass lawman” when they’re in sunglasses mode and “70s cult leader” when they’re in normal glasses mode

Though I think wearing a hat massively helps the serial killer vibes those give off. If I put my flat cap on I look fine, take it off and book, Dahmer

Aviators?? lol last I checked they never went out of style. Putting clear lenses in them doesn’t change the glasses style.

And as a separate data point, I think these glasses look totally fine. I don’t own any, and I don’t think about child predators when I see them, unless the person looks like a creep, but that’s besides the glasses. Must be a product of those having grown up in the generation.

I have top left because that’s what my insurance will pay. I’m top right though, as all I want to do is seeeeee.

Eye insurance, even subsidized by an employer, is a racket. I pay for an appointment out of pocket at a place like Costco and get glasses from Zenni. Don’t even need a Costco membership.

Yes that’s me, though for the last few years I’ve been considering going for something a bit more jazzy, I just can’t get myself to do it when it comes time to get a new pair. I’m gonna have to wear them every day with every outfit, the entire day, I just want some I’ll forget about, comfortable to wear and resistant to my lack of care.

I would say mine are halfway between top right and top left, which, if I’m being honest, is extremely appropriate.

For the record, I also started with top center in sixth grade and did bottom left as a teenager.
