No, America is just backwards compared to the rest of the modern developed world. It’s not just social issues you have there. The whole country is corporate ruled, a lot of your traditions originating in either the hostile takeover of land or as a method of advertising by some company, and many of your laws are created through lobbying of these sane corporate entities. So deeply rooted are American problems that simply attributing it to one thing, like patriarchy or racism, is completely missing the point.

You want to make America better, you’ll have to first destroy everything America is built upon. And stop mistaking outside observation for ignorance; Americans would do well to listening to the rest if the world.
