The original study claims 0.1-5g/week of plastic dependent on the diet. The BBC expert says they overestimate this range a lot due to their methodology.
Well that’s a bit more encouraging, although as they say at the end the real question is how many small particles we consume that can get into the blood stream instead of passing through the system.
