I’m off the opinion that they should be heavily (no pun) taxed by weight, and insurance should accordingly go way up for covering the other people they endanger.
But it seems that morons are already willing to be broke to drive these things with how inefficient they already are.
@nilloc@Tak Not only heavier vehicles are responsible for more road deaths and injuries, they also cause a disproportionate amount of damage to public infrastructure (they ruin roads just by using them), and they usually pollute more (if they use fuel). But we all will keep subsidizing all these damages until they’re taxed appropriately.
If you buy a vehicle that big and inefficient as a commuter family vehicle it deserves to be banned.
