From what system is this cartridge? Its a little smaller than a Game Boy DMG cart.
Cartridge for a Bootleg GameBoy. This particular game was also available for a Famiclone system. It probably can be played in a DMG GameBoy.
Not compatible with the DMG, this cart is fatter, and less wide. See photo in another comment I made.
I meant the other way around, my bad. The DMG style GameBoy carts could probably be played in the clone console this cart came with. From the appearance of another comment, it likely would have been a keyboard with cart slots big enough to accommodate genuine DMG style cartridges on it.

Is Picross the game where you have to carve the stone tablets based on the column and row numbers?
I think just started playing that on my Switch this weekend. I forgot what it’s called, because it’s all in Japanese.
You are right, it is Picross. I player a lot in Switch too.
That’s funny that I just opened it up on a whim to see what it was and got pretty far, and now it’s come up in conversation.
Super game.

How do you know it?
It kinda looks like a game king cartridge, from the inside bits (can’t find a pic of the whole thing), but that’s from the early 2000s. I went through a list of older handhelds and that’s the closest entry. But importantly, that probably isn’t it.
What you have is probably a regional knock-off sort of thing, or something that was never popular/prominent enough to be added to the wiki page.
This is the handheld list I went through. I stopped at the DS, as I assume yours is considerably older than that. Some of the old systems only have a handful of games for them, so it’s possible it’s something that just wasn’t made in large numbers, but my bet is on super-generic-knockoff-gamebay/gamboy/toyboy/gamekid handheld system (jokey knockoff names not real things afaik), which are not listed with the actual non-knockoff systems. (I wasn’t able to find much about vintage knockoff/copy systems)

I have counted the number of pins and they not match: unk cart 34 pins, game king cart 30 pins. Thanks for your response.
There’s a differently shaped cartridge with the same art in this photo so it’s probably from something made by the same company https://www.deviantart.com/pokemonosterfanzg/art/My-Famiclone-Keyboard-Console-427590982
Yes, I already knew that thanks to google image search. After that I went to https://uc.pory.app/ and checked all the items for GLK and the manufacturer. Right now I am at a dead end.
