    Mental interruptions like this are great. Our brain works by making the most recent behavior a little bit easier, so that has implications for both getting into and out of depression. If you can just replace the depressive thought a little bit earlier each time, eventually you’ll start to have positive feelings first.

    Generally, focused, timed breathing is suggested because you can do that without alerting others.
