He bought up a bunch of the rights to rebroadcast Japanese tokusatsu shows, then cut in high school drama shorts between the action scenes and redubbed the tokusatsu in English. Filming was practically free and he ended up selling the rights to Disney after a measly five years for a whooping $5.3B (of which $1.6B went straight into his pockets).
