The AAA name drop definitely means we’re getting Mephisto eventually. Maybe VisionQuest or later Wanda+ series, but making a deal with The Hood and introducing him now would also be a fun idea. Whatever the final conflict with Mephisto is, putting together a diverse (powers-wise) team makes sense and, similar to her role in Ironheart, Riri is unique and a good choice for “The Crew”.
I think Chthon is linked here. I think Mephisto would make a deal to guide our heros to Chthon or Wanda. Or if it’s Chthon then they run into Mephisto to make a deal to find/revive Wanda. Depends on the demon hierarchy.
Dormammu I think should be saved for Doctor Strange 3. It would be a good close out to his story. Plus Benedict Cumberbatch did the mocap for Dormammu so I always thought you could have some fun paradox story with that.
As for more demons, I’m ok with that too. I think they all lead to Mephisto and Chthon, it’s just a matter of when.
Yeah at the moment IMHO no matter what one’s feelings on Multiverse of Madness are, at the moment, the “magic” corner of the MCU (AKA the Wong Cinematic Universe) is the one that’s delivering the most consistently good storyline.
WandaVision
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
What If… Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Moon Knight
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Werewolf by Night
Ironheart
It’d be nice if they could bring back Ghost Rider, too.
So clearly Hood has a deal with SOME sort of demon. Based on who we’ve seen in existing Marvel movies/shows, the candidates are:
Mephisto (namedropped in AAA as a demon who enters into pacts with mortals seeking power)
Dormammu (has an agreement with Strange not to meddle with Earth directly, but using Hood as a catspaw might be a loophole)
Chthon (created the Darkhold)
Marduk Kurios (unlikely, but since I’m listing Marvel demons I might as well mention Daimon and Satana Hellstrom’s dad)
