Got this message immediately after we lost a game. A random team mate was unimpressed with my performance on the day, which to be fair, was entirely justified, despite a late consolation goal from me.

Must have had a change of heart after I admitted my failings.

It’s relieving to see that they calmed down in the end, but I don’t think that makes up for being a dick when feeling frustrated.

I wish the gaming community would teach people to take pride in good sportsmanship. It’s arguably harder than mechanical or strategic skill, and it’s usually more valuable.

It makes difference for them self correcting their world model. Turn the other cheek and all etc.

I agree. Luckily I’m immune to online abuse in games. I’ve been on Xbox Live since the beginning, so my mother has obviously seen a lot of action.

People get so upset over video games like i’m just trying to escape from life’s pressures for a little bit…calm down please.

I’ll just stick to single player games tho.

I’ve been loving Rematch. This kind of team game reveals that, at least to some people, positivity and learning through mistakes will make a team stronger than negativity and shouting. Most of my games have been amazing, and the angry players seldom win. I always hit left dpad early on to get the ball rolling.

To be fair, I’ve seen a lot less sarcastic “Good job” messages recently. Everyone fucks up at some point usually, plus the desync issues cause “mistakes” that are absolutely not the player’s fault, and people seem to be recognising that.

I feel like the gameplay itself fundamentally refuses to accept spiteful/selfish players and they filter themselves out within a few hours of playtime

You have to play the team game, even if you’re the one. You cant outplay 4 people focusing you lol as long as youre clearly trying and not spamming everyone usually gives each other grace
