If it gets X-Men into the MCU, go for it.

Leave Tony alone. In fact, leave all of the Avenger Trilogy alone. No Tony, no Steve, No Thor.

Three and a half supersoldiers, a lady who can walk through walls, and Superman but with DID, don’t quite make a functional Avengers team. Gonna need just a teeny bit more powers diversity in there.

The avengers are a ridiculously large cast of characters in the comics. There are several dozen to choose from (even more if you want to count Young Avengers, West Coast Avengers, etc.

Sure, eventually, but not anytime soon. There are plenty of new characters and there are plenty of characters who pickup the existing titles. Tell stories that exist in the comics, but feel free to adjust, tweak or just make completely new interactions.

6 Avengers movies and a bunch of trilogies seems like it would be the right time to finish their stories and then semi-reboot with fresh faces in familiar roles.

I guess I’d like to see more exploration of new characters before we go back to the familiar roles.

For Iron Man we still haven’t seen much of War Machine. We just got introduced to Ironheart. We could bring in Iron Lad.

For Captain America we’ve handed off to Falcon who is just getting started. Could someone else pick up the title next?

Hawkeye is handing off the title to Kate Bishop.

Spider-Man is still young but maybe we can get live action Miles Morales at some point.

However! (And it’s too early to predict this) With DCs Superman we’re just getting dropped into an existing universe. If Marvel wants to head into this direction. If we reboot after Secret Wars to a lived in world where everyone already exists.

            Then maybe that makes sense.

Well the reboot will be mostly X-Men and the original Avengers from what I can tell.

So the new Captain America and Kate Bishop shouldn’t be affected. Tom Holland will also keep being Spider-Man for at least another trilogy.

Secret Wars might make everything that came before redundant so none of this matters.

Recast. Not recasted. And no. Much like DC and the Justice League, Marvel has a huge pantheon of heroes to pull from.

I forced myself to watch Thunderbolts. The entire movie they all kept taking about how they’re not the avengers.

Yeah we know. Well aware, Marvel. Get on with it already.

Yes. It’s about them having to live and operate in the shadow of The Avengers. Of fucking course we know they aren’t them. That’s precisely the point, they are a bunch of second rate assholes needing to live up to the Avengers legacy while facing an Avengers level threat while being a bunch of fuckwits. The fact they AREN’T them and still find a way shows why they are worthy of the legacy.

Plus, they dealt with a lot of mental trauma as well. It was a great movie.

I like the MCU movies but that’s bold. Best since Infinity War maybe. Guardians 3 was phenomenal though, and I liked most of Shang-Chi and Marvels. But yes Thunderbolts was awesome.

Iron Man will be Bronze Man, Wolverine’s adamantium will be recasted with aluminium, the steel dude will go for chrome and vibranium turns into copper thanks to that sweet deal with Ea-Nasir.

It’s gonna be young Xavier all over again.

Feige said. “‘Endgame,’ literally, was about endings. ‘Secret Wars’ is about is about beginnings.”

He surely was misquoted there, but it seems there’s hope

There was something Levar Burton said after the conclusion of Voyager: (paraphrasing because I can’t remember the exact quote) People are tired of Star Trek.

And he was right. We needed a break. And then came Lower Decks.

The point is we’re all tired of the same super hero movies. I stopped after Ant Man Quantumania.

We need original stories with interesting plots. Not recycled, rebooted, retooled IP.

Give me Good Will Hunting over Avengers: The Ant World Groot Farm part 4.
