  • I used intel nuc j5005 for 4 years iirc with 2 bay hdd enclosure, Orico brand. Never had any problem that i hear about such as random diaconnecting. Granted i used it to host my media. So i dont pratically mind if the data is gone.

I used openmediavault with usb boot drive. Internal 2.5’ drive as docker appdata. All my media files is stored on the external enclosure. The only problem i noticed is the temperature but thats because of high ambient temp.

If youre planning to use ext enclosure for critical data. Might wanna think twice. But, if you have proper backup plan. Sure why not.

  • I dont understand that one bit but thats probably why my speed was slow when im connected to my home network through wireguard.

For example my mobile plan is around 100Mbps down and 30Mbps up. When im connected to my home network through wireguard. My mobile download speed crippled to my home network upload speed which is 50Mbps.

Is that normal? I read that its normal.

  • Used it for a few months. Never had any problem but now moved to adguard DNS. Got a great deal for 5 years, way cheaper than nextdns when i pay yearly. Includes adguard adguard block, vpn and dns.

If both cost the same i would choose nextdns. Nextdns feels a little bit faster.

I dont like ControlD. The webui is a mess, for me personally. NextDNS webui is easier to understand.

  • Just want to see what the fuss is with the new ios. That is it. Nothing major. The thing is with new ios version, there’s always something weird going on. Such as battery drain, weird graphical bug, glitch etc.

That is why i usually do it when im bored and have some time to spare. If i like it, l stay on the new version, If i dont like the new version, ill downgrade and block apple domain so dont get the update nagging. Ill wait until next major version like 18.1 or 18.2 then ill see how it goes.

Its way different than stock android. With iphone, just a couple of click and an hour waiting and im good to go. Its like restoring an image backup. No need to setup each app, log into app, change some settings etc.

If only i can buy it directly through steam and not grey market. Shit is expensive from where i am. Bought it anyway though and yeay, my unit has bad shoulder button and the trackpad rattles on the left side. Bad luck i guess, seems like those two problem is common.

The problem with grey market is the warranty. Cant send it back to steam. Otherwise ill exchange it right away. Need to send to seller and repair it. Cant even exchange it. Had to send my deck three times before i call quit and sold it.

Maybe in future ill buy it again and see how’s the build quality. In the mean time ill just remote play my ps5 with my switch.
