I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to the airport waiting for the naked scanner and been part of a group tahen thru the metal detector instead and let thru. I don’t even have to opt out of the scanner for the pat down.

As an American I wondered when the police would be made the victims and the actual victim would either get shot or arrested and blamed.

Standing up for your rights isn’t convenient, but it has to be done. Those that engineer this shit know that and make it as convoluted they can for this exact reason.

Always be on guard against those who would make you give up your rights voluntarily while giving up none of their own.

The difference is that if someone decides to freeze your cashless bank account they can by a mouse click and you’re destitute. Whereas if that happens in a cash-based society they have to come and get it from you.

Get a conservative business-focused person into the government and watch them give infinite money to business in the form of subsidies, bailouts, and tax breaks.

A cashless society is so stupid beyond words. In order to create one you must also create a full surveillance society to protect it, and even that would be ineffective to stop it from being hacked.

You’re telling me that computers are sophisticated enough to drive cars and create new antibiotics but resumes are just too much? Nah.

If that’s the case then don’t ask for a resume and only have the form to input job history that can be easily handed over to a manager using a printable template.

I put my mom on Ubuntu with KDE 10 years ago. I had far less problems with her on Linux than I ever did with Vista and 7. It got to the point she was calling me multiple times a week.

I didn’t have to but I did one Ubuntu reinstall in that entire time only because I made /boot the default partition size at installation and years later it filled up constantly. I got sick of going over there to clean it up and it coincided with her getting a new computer.

My mom installed printer drivers, and Cisco VPN software from run packages instead of apt and set up multi- monitors on her own after I taught her how to use the terminal, so it’s possible for the elderly.

Don’t forget Catholicism spent centuries converting with a sword and their missionairies destroyed all remnants of native cultures history once they were converted. That’s an awful lot of discrimination from Catholics.
