Get this, those billionaires control the production and distribution of these basic necessities, and attributing a monetary figure to it is the problem. It doesn’t cost money, it costs labor. You get the labor in exchange for fun stuff. This is the crux of the issue. We need a system that can’t be gamed to incentivize hoarding whatever it is we use to denote the worth of labor, as cash does today.

It has nothing to do with cost, it has to do with ridding the problem of the people hoarding the excess wealth for the benefit of an arbitrary group. Where the labor comes do the profits go. If a private individual puts in labor, and that generates a profit from itself, then yeah, they get that. They earned that. The nuance is that they have a community, infrastructure, all of the things supporting their ability to do anything, so any profit comes from the community in some fashion.

We need to get rid of systems of hoarding. 100% tax above whatever 100x the poverty line is, for everyone, that gets dumped into government coffers to subsidize all essential labor. This incentivizes the extra profits to go to the UBI coffers instead of individuals while still giving a huge ceiling to make extra money for labor that generates profit.

I’m just reiterating what Marx was saying. We need to stop focusing on the money aspect and focus on the labor.

Which is very much OSRS. PvP is what single-handedly holds up the game economy there, while mega-rares and discontinued items prop it up in RS3.

I would like to point out that actors are usually contractually obligated to maintain a specific appearance. Stamos may literally have not been able to shave his head in solidarity, so while seemingly noncommittal I think there could be more to the gesture. As you say, Dave is the only authority on the matter either way.

It may be inherently flawed, but we can’t just arbitrarily emit wavelengths of light with current technology. Realistically I doubt we ever could, we would need to alter the emission energies of materials on the fly, which would be akin to actual magic. It is frankly amazing it works as well as it does notwithstanding.

You don’t need a modchip to get a HDD to work, you can flash the drive with FreeHDBoot and just plug it in to the PS2.

I work in a grocery store, and while I would still need to be in about 25-30 hours a week to ensure product is on the shelves a massive amount of my time at work is useless facing and looking busy after the first few hours of real work restocking. If I was paid fairly I could come in for about 3 hours every day and have everything that needed done done without spinning on a thumb all day just to barely make rent.

I have had a Logitech G600 and a Corsair Scimitar that have both had issues in the past. The G600 had the switch outright die and the scimitar developed inconsistent scrolling (also super stiff and hard to middle click anyway).

I do a lot of web browsing and RuneScape, which uses the middle mouse button to move the mouse and I tend to rebind the DPI buttons under the wheel to the middle mouse button to compensate.

Yeah, I haven’t ever met a speedrunner that hadn’t played the game casually at least a few times. That’s an insulting way to haggle though. If $40 is a slightly below fair price and $45 is agreeable to both then that’s both a simple and pleasant transaction. Offering to haggle then refusing to haggle by doing that is insulting the same way as severely low balling.

You seriously underestimate the stupidity of 80% of windows users. They could put multiple warnings and people would still click past them without reading then bitch to their IT team when they break something.

There are some nice perks to good credit outside of interest. It can qualify you for better housing, better perks on certain rentals, not having to worry about emergency situations killing your savings outright, and let’s you take advantage of stuff like cash back and bulk purchasing discounts. An example is staple foods, being able to hit the once-a-year bulk deals on stuff like rice or Lawreys garlic salt can cut the price of those items in half or better (personal examples, but the thought should hold). Ancillary perks, but they do add up.

You could just ask easily be the bank yourself and save the “interest” for a birthday gift or something later on. This really isn’t a difficult concept to use as a teaching opportunity without just screwing over a kid. Do you teach your kids to not walk into traffic by letting them get hit by a car too?

That button doesn’t specifically perform a right click. It is a button to open a menu, not necessarily right click. It just happens that right clicking in a lot of situations also acts as hitting the menu key. It’s super pedantic, but a lot of software still makes use of it and it sends a different command for stuff like scripting and macros.
