This needs one of those bell curve memes.

I lived there for years and didn’t know this! That’s insane!
Additional fun fact, Kansas has in the past attempted to annex Kansas City, Missouri.
The metro area being split between MO and KS has also caused a race to the bottom for certain kinds of regulations and taxes because for many businesses the cost of moving between the two states was essentially moving from one side of State Line Rd to the other.
Such a strange metro area.
They didn’t want to compromise their ability to spy on us easily.
My former officemate grew up in Russia in the 80s, he hated a shitload about growing up in the Soviet Union. He raved consistently about two things: the education system and gender equality.
His mother was a mathematician and computer programmer, and he didn’t have issues with school there until after he’d been here (the US) as an exchange student and had some… Cultural differences with his teachers.
“People who smile a lot in Russia are considered to be unintelligent”
ICC is Hamas. Obviously.
“Yeah girl, my bathroom lights come on automatically when you walk in. I’ve even set them to 30% brightness… After bedtime.”
If only my wife truly appreciated me lol
They’re getting used to the taste for when the only thing that’s safe to eat is boiled shoe leather because the FDA and the USDA have been completely eliminated.
In response to that…
Don’t forget Louisiana… My wife’s favorite.
Travel agent saved my ass about 10 years ago when my connecting flight was delayed in air while I was on it. Completely missed the final leg of my journey because of a storm. Middle of the night and she helped me switch everything over and rent a car to drive the rest of the way and even got me upgraded to a more fun one. This was when I was going to a job interview and flying in the night before.
Might be. I remember them being marketed as “no return rentals”
TigerDirect eventually acquired the rights for the Circuit City name, years after the stores closed. They were great for awhile, it was just weird that they tried to revive the brand.
I bought my first PC parts at CompUSA, which… I don’t think I’ve seen for a very long time lol. Definitely used TigerDirect when I was in college though.
Unregulated capitalism destroys everything it touches, including itself.
Oh that was wild too, those color changing DVDs.
Clearly witchcraft. Spells to make the kids gay. Definitely not a decorative method of adding texture.
Find some local alternatives. There’s so many craft sodas out there these days.
My favorites around here are Northern Sodas, Lift Bridge, and 1919 Root Beer. Holy shit, pony kegs of 1919 are the best thing ever.
Edit: I forgot about Sprecher Soda somehow. Their Green River is. The. Best. Soft. Drink.
