OP is in Denmark, so no recluse spiders there lol.
“Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them.”
There’s a reason Margaret Atwood was the person who pointed this out.
I’m on book 8, and if you can believe it gets even better. I’m a little speechless about it.
That’s one of the things I told my friend is that I was so pleasantly surprised by what they did with Awkwafina. Katie was a much better character than I expected.
I was just talking to a friend who said he hasn’t seen Shang-Chi yet and I was stunned. After cajoling him to watch it, decided to do (yet another) rewatch myself. I love that movie.
Don’t pretend like it’s impossible to tell the actual difference between those things. It’s not all subjective. Words have meaning and people are capable of perceiving the motivations of others accurately.

I was honestly onboard right up to the point that Thor cracked jokes immediately after learning that his people’s children had been kidnapped. That should have been the moment we pivoted back to Thor the hero. For Thor to be that unserious in that moment just felt really out of character, even for wacky/funny Thor, which is a character I love personally.
I think Ragnarok struck a much better balance between funny Thor and hero Thor.
