Yeah, that’s how I like to play in general as well, yet… I guess maybe the core gameplay just isn’t for me. I might give it another go and see how it is after getting more upgrades though. Thanks for the response!

I started this game but got bored a couple hours in and I can’t really explain why. In theory it felt like a game I should really like but maybe something about the pacing? Do you think it takes a while to get really good and maybe I should try putting more time in or is the way it is at the start pretty much the same the whole way through?
Yeah, for me I always end up starting a new colony after getting to rockets. It’s my brain that can’t keep up with the colony past that point
I asked a similar question quite a while back. What ended up feeling good for me from the recommendations was Oxygen Not Included surprisingly. I thought it would be too much but just trying to figure things out on my own was fun, and I found myself falling asleep to thoughts of plans for my colony. Surprisingly addictive and chill, maybe because I could pause and think anytime things started going wrong.
But I also gotta recommend Outer Wilds if you haven’t played it already. Exploration, mystery solving in a chill solar system environment. Go in blind is the best advice for that game but I found it super chill and relaxing.
Hope people are taking notes
Nothing that would be proprietary, I don’t work in software or tech. And a simple find and replace all gets rid of any confidential or personal information before I paste it into any AI. Redacting and/or concealing confidential info has been a thing I’ve had to do way before AI
I use it to summarize work notes.
My work often involves talking a lot of observation notes and I used to spend a lot of time sifting through them to make the actual summaries and analyses. Now AI basically does my first draft and I can even ask it to highlight examples of different things from my notes. It honestly saves me a lot of time and effort but also proves to me that on it’s own, AI still isn’t good enough to beat a real human expert, it’s just WAY faster and gets me like 70~80% of the way there in seconds. I was at a conference just a few weeks back and found at least one other person in my field of work doing the same and a lot more people were looking to adopt it for this kind of use specifically after our discussions.
Agree, Facebook is not the platform fot creatives, especially not comic creators.
I was a huge Webcomic fan back in the days of things like Mega Tokyo, Real Life Comics, etc., and people used to make a living hosting their own content on their own sites making their own ad revenue and merch shops. Kinda hate that social media consolidation killed all that. I actually want to catch up with Something Positive since the creator has been making podcasts appearances and reminded me he exists and seeing his site still looking the way it did a decade ago is like looking into a time machine to when the internet was better.
Sorry for the rant, webcomics have just been on my mind and you’re comment helped open the floodgates 😅
“Saving money by” vs “making money by”
Been at my new better job for a couple months now and it’s been AMAZING! Hope you’re journey is the same if not better!
Look closer, she’s leaning back with a ball gag on
Oglaf is a fucking treasure
As a non-american, yup…
Remember when “web2.0” and “social” (in the Tech sense) were just buzzwords?
Iirc, Android is based on Linux, so not too far fetched
I posted this somewhere else but I struggled into adulthood with analog clocks and learning to read them changed my relationship with time. I forced myself to learn to do it because I read about how it can improve time management skills. Now even my smart watch has an analog watch face, and one that puts my daily schedule onto the clock itself even.
Being able to read the hands and their movement kind of give a better sense of the units and movement of time itself. Totally recommend learning to properly read analog time.
I get that can help some people if coffee is part of your morning ritual. I never did coffee as a first first thing, setting it up the machine and then going about getting ready was always how I’ve done it. But I totally get, if you need it first thing a timer is great.
In my life personally, still can’t think of any appliance off the top of my head that needs to know what time it is.
Fair. I know I’m in the minority of people who feels they need a watch and constantly checks it, so anything other than the device on my wrist is just extra. Since I was a kid I’ve felt lost if I wasn’t wearing one.
I don’t think I had the timer, I don’t actually remember there being a choice for one. I think I’ll give it another go until I get a few more upgrades, in retrospect I might not have gotten very far at all, I have no recollection of coolant lines. Thanks!
