Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech
You can always choose an instance that defederates Threads, that the beauty of the open web
To be fair there’s a lot of ad spam bots that I see on Mastodon as it is… I see better moderation tools as a solution, not being a walled garden
FYI Framasoft, non profit behind PeerTube also has an official Lemmy community on !framasoft@lemmy.world , I was surprised to see how small it is, so give them a follow
I think the mobile app was released around that time, that’s probably what happened
Edit: I was wrong, the mobile app was released in December, I’m unsure what happened then
Microblogging Fediverse software that also supports build-in payments/subscriptions AFAIK
There’s a list of public instances on FediDB, choose one that has open registrations and you’ll not need an invite
@ModestMeme@lemm.ee And how is it related to the Fediverse exactly?
It’s cool too, but it’s more like it’s own thing
I think the Friendica might be close to what you’re looking for, it’s not the Lemmy UI, but you can both follow Lemmy communities and different people from there, it’s feature-rich like Facebook, and the feel is pretty similar as well
@TheArstaInventor@lemmy.world Okay, you’re right, this actually looks better than the first screenshot you posted, I know that Lemmy already develops new UI tho, so I am not sure there’s really a point because it’s gonna change anyways?
True, you’re right, we’ll see, they still say that the “Fediverse sharing” is in beta so things can change
It’s clickable for me, however on some accounts mentions render as plain text, idk why, is this one clickable for you?
Because their link is different, it’s https://www.threads.net/fediverse_profile/georgetakei@universeodon.com
If you are using MBin you theoretically can also bridge your account, however it doesn’t work well at the moment
Bridgy Fed creator thinks about making it opt-in by default on the BlueSky side, there’s a discussion on GitHub that you can see there
XManager mod still works for me
Same, my posts in Beehaw technology community often get more upvotes than on lemmy.world’s one and I never had any problems with it
I prefer Misskey (Misskey fork at least) because it’s just much more feature rich, Mastodon doesn’t even have quotes, on the other hand Misskey has a lot of cool stuff like markdown, more customization, avatar decorations, emoji reactions etc But to each their own, from minuses Misskey has it’s own API so the variety of apps is smaller compared to Mastodon
I mean that’s not the only thing, I can follow this MBin account that I’m using to talk with you from Threads, and I can interact with Threads posts as well, I’ve even gotten likes from there
Something like that is impossible with Twitter, altho I wouldn’t be fully against the idea to reconnect with a few people I know who refused to leave it for whatever reason
Also, look at the bright side, people that use Threads at least don’t use Twitter, I think it’s a small step in the right direction, no?
