My first thought was he clearly was not being the best he could be, because he was not the one that brought in the jam filled donuts.

I tried Manjaro last year and I hated it.
Something about the distro would lock up my PC, it would freeze from time to time.
I disabled the standby/sleep function, but allowed my monitors to go into standby. But if I left my PC for an hour or two my screens would not wake up, different types and brands. I had so many issues with Manjaro and while speaking with a friend I told him I had moved over to Nobara but he was still on Manjaro. But then a few weeks later he mentioned he was running Nobara. Seems he also ditched it.
I put on my robe and wizard hat.
I have a reoccurring problem in Linux, happening in both Nobara 39 and 40 as well as Fedora 40. I understand that Nobara is Fedora based.
Sometimes my USB headset just does not detect, at all. Plug it in, no notification sound that it has been plugged in and does not appear as an audio device.
I have tried 3 different headsets and none detect. I have to reboot to solve the issue.
A friend of mine is also running Nobara and also comes across the same issue from time to time. It happened again for me today.
While I like Linux, I would love to stop using Windows and make Linux my main OS… I just cannot. Loads of my games and apps do not work in Linux as well as a lot of hardware control software. It took me ages just to get some software to control my GPU fans and I am unable to control my PC fans. From what I understand my motherboard has no Linux support, I cannot see a single sensor in any software I try. I eventually manually set up fan curves in BIOS.
I definitely does not just work for sure.
Adding my Manjaro experience, not good.
I tried it 3 times, fresh installs but it locks up my PC. If my screens turn off after a set amount of time I cannot wake up my PC. I turned off any sleep/standby/hibernate modes, only the screens turn off. If I head out for lunch and come back, the only way to get back in is to hard reboot.
First I’ve heard of it.
But then again I grew up in South Africa, I doubt Gillette would send us anything for free.
It is a smart way to get young men hooked on their product so that they never try the competition. The blades I use are Astra which are made by the same company making Gillette blades, Procter & Gamble.
Hell, I actually did some work at their factory in Berlin many years ago and they were very specific about their name, it was drilled into me to use ‘&’ and not ‘and’.
When the Mach 3 launched, the women in my family were taking the mens’ razors and saying how crappie their own women’s razors were. The Mach 3 was a big hit.
I still use it myself. I shave my head and the 3 blades is much easier to clean out. I do use a safety razor on my head first to do most of the work because the blades are dirt cheap. About £11 for 100 and they are made by Gillette as well. I bought these blades years ago and still got about 15 left.
I use the Mach 3 to go over again to catch any hair I may have missed. I use it on my neck as well. Those multi-blades are a gimmick and I swear it’s to drive up prices.
I also use shaving oil instead of gel or cream. A single bottle lasts me months, a big saving there as well.
I miss my Voodoo 2 3000 AGP card.
I got an ABIT Siluro/ Geforce 2 MX400 after that and Diablo 2 ran worse, the frame rate tanked. I was gutted.
Back in the day I tried to play Morrowind but every time I moved my mouse the game would crash, I started removing hardware until I found out it was my soundcard giving me issues, was an old ISA slot. Got a PCI soundcard after that and no issues.
Those were the days.
All I see is *******
This happened at my first job.
While walking past an office I got called in, the headmaster’s secretary and the music teacher were struggling and told me the flash drive they had does not work.
So I take a look and pull the flash drive out of the Ethernet port and plugged it into a USB port and told them they need to plug it into the correct port.
The look on their faces.
But then I admitted to them that I had never seen this happen before and that I didn’t know that the Ethernet port was the right width to take a flash drive.
I mentioned this can be done on a Discord server I am on and nobody would believe me so I just told them to give it a try. They probably think I was trolling to this day.
It gets a bit worse.
This happened in November I believe, the footage was only recently released.
They had the guy handcuffed and in the back of their patrol car, officer Doofus mistook the sound of an acorn hitting the roof of his car for a gunshot. He then did a few Dark Souls rolls while screaming shots were fired and emptied his mag into the back of his own car where the suspect was being held.
He screamed that he was shot and scrambled for cover, crawling in the street while screaming and firing more I believe. His partner hearing this also opened fire on the car.
He then admitted he didn’t seem to be hit, maybe hit his vest and he felt weird.
His partner fully believed her partner had been hit the way he was acting.
Bloody One Piece.
