Hosting costs probably. Rolling back a patch is a rare scenario and Steam would have to host every version of every game in their store on their servers indefinitely.
I genuinely tried to like the second game but the characters were so cringey that I just couldn’t make it past the first missions.
I had no idea this game still had such an active community. I remember being so disappointed by the wasted potential when it came out and this mod seems to restore the original vision the devs had for the game before Ubisoft forced them to cut corners. Very impressive for a title that did not have official mod support.
Looks promising. You rarely see Godot games with graphics like these.
I hated Windows 8 enough to put up with it at the time. It’s nuts how much things have improved since then.
“Maybe you should try getting a job?”
I think the reality is that no one on Reddit gives a shit about Lemmy
I wouldn’t be so sure:
It’s only half a kneel, so let’s just call it eel.

This is less about the instance as a whole. The !worldnews@lemmy.ml mods are notoriously terrible. It’s best to just avoid the community altogether.
I bought Project: Snowblind and E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy for a total of 3 Euros. I’ve been replaying the entire Deus Ex Series over the last couple of months and these two games are kinda similar in nature and I’ve been wanting to play them for ages.
Same here, at least so I thought until I started distro-hopping out of curiosity. And I learned that there are a ton of Nvidia specific problems on a lot of different distributions. I guess I just got lucky with my main setup that I’ve been using since around the same time.
That’s the most reasonable choice imo, you could probably earn a fair bit of money with those.
Tbh I’ve never used anything other than Nvidia hardware on Linux and I’ve only ever had some minor annoyances over the past 10 years. Nvidia has a bad rep in this community because of the closed source drivers, not so much because of stability or compatibility.
I experienced that too and ended up just disabling the timed sleep mode. Not sure if it’s actually related to KDE software or just a Linux bug in general though.
PRAISE THE CUBE
Same here, it’s the reason why I kicked Ubuntu off my laptop. They removed any way to choose and made it such a pain to get around the Snap bullshit. I’m on Linux because I want to choose what I do with my system.
