Jellyfin was not a trivial set up for remote access
So, forwarding a port on your router was a difficult process?
Quake. That was such a great series. Can you imagine what they could do with that on modern tech?
Based on everything Ive seen… theyd ruin Quake too
His stuff might be a bit too deep for the normies
What does Blender have that overlaps with an Adobe product
I ditched premiere for the Video editor in Bender, and you can use Blender in a lot of ways just like After Effects, if you really know it, then its a lot more powerful than AE.
Canva and Figma are 90% of the reason
How long before Adobe buys them… they did it macromedia and all their other competitors. Anti-trust laws, if they were working, would have shut down Abobe decades ago.
Kdenlive
Blender has a really good video editor built in.
I did download a car
Would agree, but Wayland is still broke on nvidia 2060 mobile
Frankly mint/wayland flat out does not work yet, combine that with the fact that cinnamon still does not have triple buffering for their desktop animations, and its a very annoying desktop experience for anyone coming from windows/mac where most of these issue were solved 20 years ago.
Guess what I did last night? I spent 4 hours working on getting PSD, XCF and KRA thumbnailers working in Mint. It took custom scripts to be written and each one required different commands because KRA files are just a zip file so you have to extract that and grab one of 3 possible preview files that might exist inside that zip and make that the thumbnail, while in gimp files you cant just use convert command, even convert[0] will only turn the first layer into a thumbnail and thats completely useless. And to top off all that, I finally got thumbnails working in gnome/nautilus but Only the XCF thumbs will generate in cinnamon/nemo (I still have no clue why that is) but I cannot just switch to gnome because there is technically no gnome variant of Mint so gnome doesnt work 100%… etc etc etc
Linux is still not there, this stuff should be simple and automatic. If a 20 year professional took 4 hours to get this far, the average user will give up immediately. Yes Mint is still my daily driver, but seriously thumbnails should not be this much work.
I told this to a friend of mine who swear his quackosnapper is the best of all quackosnappers, and he says “ya well doctors kill people too!” And Im like, yeah but Id rather die for a treatment I needed to save my life than to die for a completely unnecessary “treatment” which wouldn’t have done anything.
He went pretty quiet after that.
Chiro
Take a fast look through all medical literature, you will never find the made up word Chiro in any of them. Thats a clue.
You can’t install macOS on any PC you like either
I dont understand your question…
it sounds like that might be a your laptop problem
All the laptops Ive ever tried and all the desktops including my current one which is a very generic Ryzen 7? None of them have ever suspended reliably, thats for sure a linux problem. Without that feature, I cannot switch to it as my daily. Its relegated to server only for me sadly.
Where there’s a problem there’s usually a solution, you just might need to root around the web for answers.
Thats a huge problem for linux, average users are never going to do that. But as a long time linux user myself I have been trying to find solution to the suspend problem for a long time and I still cant find one. So Id say its a big problem.
Suspend doesn’t really work for my Thinkpad either. Computers were never really meant to ‘suspend’
Well, whether computers were ‘meant’ to suspend is beside the point, windows made it work somehow but so far linux has not, and Id call it a required for most users. Without that feature working reliably, I can’t personally make the switch even though I want to.
30 years Ive never seen windows fail to suspend… coming back from suspend ya I have seen a few errors in 30 years, not many.
how am babby formed?
