I get that, but you’re also not quite getting the full picture with this specific instance. The community on Reddit has been waiting for Silksong so long that they have been over-analyzing every single game convention for years to see if we’re going to get a release date, and had a heated debate over whether or not a blood sacrifice of a member of the community would bring the release. They’re a little crazy over there.
Kate. It’s a movie on Netflix where an assassin is slipped polonium on a job in Tokyo and has a night to track down the ones responsible before she dies. It’s a fun movie.
It kind of felt like the game was trying to tackle language as a barrier to entry in the same way that Tunic did, but ultimately failed to properly teach. The first language is learnable, but most of the others had extremely frustrating attempts to get the last few words. It fortunately tells you when the word is correct in your pocket dictionary, but if you haven’t encountered the item it references yet, you have to assign it what you think it is, rely on it, and figure out what exactly is wrong.
I get that it’s a puzzle game, but there’s supposed to be a moment of “Oh, that’s how it works” euphoria when you finish a puzzle, not a consistent “Seriously? I got it this wrong again?” and an encouragement for random trial and error due to frustration. It’s cool that there’s different languages, based on different existing language structures, but it felt like the execution of unraveling it fell flat.

I got the first game for free and was blown away by how good it was for such a simple premise. I can’t wait for this one, I’ll probably be picking it up day one.

Serious answer, I’m not sure why someone would run a VM to run just a container inside the VM, aside from the VM providing volumes (directories) to the VM. That said, VMs are perfectly capable of running containers, and can run multiple containers without issue. For work, our Gitlab instance has runners that are VMs that just run containers.

It’s kind of wild that I’ve seen trailers and posts for Lollipop Chainsaw’s remaster, but the first time I hear about a Shadows of the Damned remaster is buried in the last paragraph of a dev interview.
Dead by Daylight does the opt-in beta thing. Progress doesn’t transfer from one to the other, but unlocks are handled by just unlocking everything. The bonus of this, as opposed to in-house only, is that players can see what’s coming and give at least some chance for feedback before release. The downside is that there’s only one iteration, beta, then release, and sometimes things that worked in the beta are broken in release. I’m not saying that this should replace an in-house sandbox, but as an addition it helps devs get thousands of eyes on it and lets the community voice issues before they become semi-permanent.
I’ve played maybe 15 rounds since the update, but only found one mission-related bug. We completed both sub-objectives for an ICBM, and it told us that we could extract without launching the missile. And given we had 2 reinforcements left, we sure weren’t looking a gift horse in the mouth.
I had an idiot say to a guy, at extract, “You stole my samples, I’m kicking you.” I told him you couldn’t steal samples, they’re shared. I got kicked too. Some people are just either stupid or malicious, but fortunately they seem to be less and less frequent.
Within the last couple weeks we had an MO to hold five bug planets. Between the bug-only players and the MO-only players, we were doing excellently. It was also one of the first MOs where supply lines were visible in-game, so players knew where to go, and how to cut off bugs from taking planets back with defense. Arrowhead thought we were doing too well, so the bugs randomly took back a planet that had all supply lines cut off, in order to put more pressure on the order. It’s not just a yo-yo, Arrowhead is also insistent that even if we do well, they’ll undermine the established rules to get the result they want.
The game didn’t really appeal to me, but I want to say that the trailer music absolutely slaps.
Even with the added costs of owning the home and upkeep, it’s only equivalent or just above rent, and that’s with the condo association fees and insurance. Even while renting I was stuck paying for utilities. And I’m highly aware that the roof needs replacing, given that we’ve got to replace ours within 5 years.
But if your point is “owning a home is more expensive than renting when you factor in all extra costs,” I want to again point out that most people are barely able to stay afloat. His point was that anyone can buy a house. Mine is that the money he thinks grows on trees literally does not exist for the majority of people.
It’s not going to be focused solely on him, but I think Armor Wars is still moving forward after it got moved from a TV show to a movie.
