Just keep pecking at it! Unravel each thread until you’re stuck then grab a hint from somewhere and keep going, I had to come back to Outer Wilds after starting it once initially and giving up, and I’m glad I finished it. Especially the DLC.

James Lee making some more cathartic content
To quote a legendary sbemail:
That is not a small number! That is a big number!
Did you write this in an IDE?
Ty I figured someone would point me in the right direction. On an aside, absolutely no one irl I’ve talked to has ever heard of Lemmy or the fediverse which is disappointing. I wonder how we get fediverse stuff to grow
*if we can fund it
I’m probably going to start donating $5 a month to the Lemmy devs (or whomever is the best to donate to) Vote with your wallet people!
Was thinking of adding those but wanted to keep it HL specific. But yes the Portals are must plays. Pretty much perfect games. I remember watching the ending of 2 over and over because it was so dope.
Interesting, I haven’t actually played HL1 but I enjoyed BM a lot, and figured it’d be the better reccomendation for someone just getting into HL.
What parts of the atmosphere do you think BM missed? When I watched videos of HL1 gameplay it seemed that BM did a great job having a graphically updated but similar vibe
Imo the best enjoyment to time ratio is:
Black Mesa (the Xen level at the end was redone and extended compared to in HL1 and it’s cool but if it starts to drag just move on)
HL2 (main game)
HL2: EP1 start it but maybe skip and watch a playthrough if you get bored
HL2: EP2
HL Alyx, if you can play it on a decent headset. DO NOT MOD IT TO PLAY IT WITH MOUSE/KB it will be extremely boring since it’s designed for VR
Have fun, there’s simply nothing else like Half-Life games
This looks like it could be a band photo for the Nuclear Power Trio
If you haven’t checked in years homestarrunner.com is pretty much fully functional again thanks to the Ruffle Project
Not if you use a cheap secondhand B&W Brother laser printer with 3rd party toner that comes out to approx $0.004 a sheet
Oops meant to reply to you, see above comment I linked everything

It is pretty interesting to see the viral videos of 16+ years ago and how they’re both similar and different to what makes the rounds today. I’m sure there’s video essays and retrospectives that would do a better job of analyzing them than me but I’m just here to link the originals. Cheers.
I take Strategema for my adhd
How do you know they’re not multi-tasking?
Having recently played through Hifi Rush after the studio closed, it reads very differently when you know the characters who go up against Vandalay and Kale, the most corporate of corporations and evil CEO, are killed by a real life evil corporation.
This is great news and even makes playing through the 1st game more enjoyable knowing we’re (hopefully) getting more!
I can’t wait to have a wealth of extremely specific inside jokes with a bunch of internet strangers so well ingrained that I can correctly guess the top comment on 50% of posts again.
I should go outside
Woah it’s actually my “cakeday” if we’re gonna use some old reddit terminology. Wouldn’t have checked if it weren’t for this comment section. Can’t believe it’s been a year. I gotta comment/post more.
It’s nice here. Reasonable people just chatting and sharing memes. Just like old Reddit (or small, well moderated subreddits but I can’t use Apollo anymore so here we are).
I read it in this particular cinematic as a choice that this is OUR world, dominated by brands and massive companies. And it’s still the same ones even in this future.
Kinda like how it’s a different feeling when you see a Coke ad and an Atari ad in Blade Runner rather than seeing a generic in-universe copyright free brand.
That and this feels like something that could easily change in the main game
