There’s precisely zero skill involved in e.g. roulette.
Poker, fantasy football, and horse betting though, are influenced by skill. But they’re all clearly still gambling.
The important thing in those 3 is that you’re not betting against the house. You’re betting against other players, and that you’re the smart enough to come out on top even after the house takes their cut. Unless you’re Nate Silver, though, chances are you’re not the smartest person in the room.
Better yet:
Give me $1, and I’ll roll two six-sided dice. If you roll two sixes, I give you $20.
The idea of a Pokémon clone isn’t protectable, but existing Pokémon are.
You can make a Pokémon clone with entirely novel monsters, but if a judge thinks they look too much like an existing Pokémon they’re gonna have a problem.
It’s not saying that the top row can support at most 100 people.
Just that if you have 100 people per hour, you need something like what’s in the picture. The train tracks aren’t being fully utilized in the top pic, either.
As an aside, you’re forgetting that cars are ~15 feet long on average. So you’ve got an hour of traffic with consistently 1 car following distance, which is fairly unrealistic. Real world capacy of a lane is closer to 2k people per hour, or 4k both directions.
That sounds a bit more like a nightclub.
I’d never want to live next to a nightclub, but living next to a tavern or pub would be fine.
