Shorts covered with quartz sequins would scatter the image enough to blind the scanner. Make sure they’re mounted with glue instead of metal mounts, or they’ll fail the metal detector.

Everyone involved in that picture is too close to that moose.
Actually yes, there are more oligarchs than the idiots in charge right now, and it’s going to come to a head at some point. Each one has their feifdom and they won’t go quietly.
More to the point, it’s going to reach the point of mass protest again, and moron is going to call in the military. After which everything is on the table. No one in power will be safe in anything but armored transport and guarded villages, which won’t last long. At that point the US and it’s global hegemony will be broken. There won’t be the resources to project military power beyond our borders and a few subject states, because it will cost so much to keep security at home, and productivity will tank hard.
No one can beat the US military except the US itself, and it’s being forced to do just that.
People wonder why there’s not enough snow plows in places like this, and I’m sitting here trying to justify the cost of a shovel.
Half dozen is plenty really. In recipe’s it’s supposed to be 3 quail eggs to replace 1 chicken egg, it’s really about 2.5 just rounded up. With a family of four and a dozen birds we have egg breakfasts 2 or 3 times a week in the summer, down to every other week in the winter. We’ll probably expand the flock a little this summer, bigger cage plans once I can figure out how to keep them as safe as they are in the shed now. Just found out rodents can spread bird flu too, so building requirements just got tougher.
It’s made me a lot more smug about having our own quail.
Remember back in January when it was wild to see Elon talking to radical right wing Germans?
Diesel, bear spray, propane, and gasoline don’t care if you’re wearing a bulletproof vest.
Just pointing that out in case it becomes relevant.
I haven’t seen any corroboration of it yet, but it is exactly the fight they were having over TikTok. Not that China is stealing private data, that they would use the algorithm to affect the election.
And none of this is new people. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambridge_Analytica
They’re just putting into practice what they already learned and super charging it with AI agents.
What did the canuks get up to this time?
You mean like the president giving pardons to cop killers?
It’s always interesting to watch moments like this in history. There are thousands and thousands of them. Small bits of violence, happening at random, but really the same thing over and over. Most of the populace just ignoring it. Until one particular case, no different than any of the others, catches the attention of the masses. And suddenly the world changes in drastic, sometimes horrible, ways over night.
I agree, and also think a stupid stunt is a poor way to reach better wages. It’s just a way to placate the masses.
I do avoid most sales. They’re either a lie using a fake regular price, or a low quality product that didn’t sell, so they taking a loss to get rid of it. Either way, not worth my time. I shop for quality products that meet my needs when I need them, not when they’re on sale.
Doesn’t matter, the money is nothing to me, it’s simple principle. I also don’t use store cards or coupons.
I don’t like paying people just to do the job they’re already paid for, and I think it’s bad for society to promote it.
Well hell, wish I’d known this when they dropped off a bunch of flat pack desks. I’m not tipping the guy that just dropped off a kitchen spoon.
It’s not a policy question it’s a media question. The right started taking over news media the day Nixon resigned. Repealing the Fairness doctrine, ending League of Women voters debates, propping up Fox news, and Sinclair media buying out all the local stations. That’s the decades long community goal they’ve been running. The left needs to understand it, and how to fight it, because MSNBC isn’t doing it.
The choice was, be a friend, or be pig food. Kevin chose wisely.
