Was following these instructions off the official page.
Got to where the orange line is on the screenshot below, and it started throwing up a load of network errors. Again can’t remember the exact messages, it’s been a month, but it was saying that the Repos were unreachable. And pacman then stopped working entirely until I removed the Repos.

As I replied above, I’ll give it another shot. Maybe I fucked something up? Everything seemed to be working fine until I added the Repos to pacman, then it all went tits up.
Hm. Maybe I’ll take another shot. I was following the instructions, got as far as installing the keys, adding the Repos didn’t work, it broke pacman.
Doesn’t work for kernels newer than 6.13 if I recall correctly. Tried to install it last month. I’m running Garuda Arch, and kernel 6.15, even having the repository active completely borks pacman.
Edit: it’s an active project, so keep an eye on it. Or install CatchyOS as it’s now standard there.

Fair enough. Again no judgement, just not enough to sink my teeth into to want to pay. And I know that’s cheap of me, but I’m also too cheap to have a pint at my local or a coffee from a café unless it’s special circumstances. I’m broke AF. 🤷
Idk. Estimated completion time is 15-25mins, and they want $1+ USD. I’m all for paying indie Devs for their work, but that’s a bit much for what’s on offer. That’s a personal opinion, obviously no judgement if anyone decides that’s what they want.
I DID grow up with Nintendo. The first gaming thing that wasn’t a DOS computer with asteroids and commander keen on it was a NES. Then an SNES. Then an N64. A few months after the N64 we got a Sega Genesis, and a PS1.

…fuck Nintendo. Switch 1 games play at a higher resolution and better frame rate ON MY PHONE. I refused to buy a switch, and there’s no chance in hell I’ll get a switch 2. The fact that they say if they “detect” cheating or that your S2 is jailbroken they reserve the right, and built in the ability to, brick your device. Fuck them, get fucked, no fucking chance they’re getting a single cent, pence, fucking whatever out of me. Fuck yourselves well and truly to fuck! 👍🖕👍

If we’re putting the SteamDeck against Nintendo, I’d say the natural comparison is Steam exclusives against Nintendo exclusives.
I disagree. It would be more accurate to say:
If we’re putting the Steam Deck against the Switch 2, the natural comparison is between Switch 1/2 compatible games, without jailbreak, versus any game that works on the Steam Deck hardware be it Linux Native, with wine/Proton and any emulator that runs games minimum original frame rate with minimal issues.
Bear in mind that the Steam Deck is a handheld Linux computer, and anything that will run on the level of hardware it has and plays nicely with Linux will run on the Steam Deck.
Even just with only installing Steam on the Deck, as of mid-May there is 18k Deck Verified games.
It’s more of an online market. eBay, Amazon to a certain extent, there’s loads of book specific ones and some that are for used items generally and allow books. And unless marked it’s not the black market at all. I mean obviously the book is stolen, but it’s just entering the used market as opposed to being sold through a fence or whatever

Man…kid me got fucked over… weren’t no games at the ones I went to! In fact some Karen complained about Goosebumps books so much after the one when I was in 4th grade that in 5th grade there weren’t any. There WAS a letter handed out to every kid full naming the person who killed Goosebumps for everyone…
What always has me seeing red is when I’m deep diving forums searching for anyone who has had my exact issue. Finding people with similar, but not exactly the same, issues with easy solutions that don’t work for me. Finally finding one forum post from 9 months ago, it is literally the exact same issue I’m dealing with. One reply. It’s OP a few days/weeks/months later replying to their own post only to say:

No, so Garuda has a kernel switcher GUI. And I had tried switching to the latest CachyOS kernel, that didn’t seem to do anything. AsusCTL still threw the “missing Asus drivers” error. So I went through the process of actually following the instructions and doing it all myself, and hit the roadblock I mentioned above.
