Hair ties, hair clips, hair pins, those spiral thingies you twist in (no idea what they’re called in English) and hairspray to keep it from fluttering about. Lots of ways to keep your hair up and in shape, depends on what exactly you want to achieve.

That said, I don’t know anyone, like literally anyone, who thinks that keeping your hair up is more comfortable.

Two minutes (and you’re being very optimistic here, for someone who isn’t technically inclined it’s almost certainly going to be more) of required reading on a subject that’s just not even remotely interesting to 99% of people eliminates basically all non technical people. Because they just don’t care enough to devote that time. If that’s the user base you want, that works out, but I’d like people here who can hold a conversation about something other than Linux and Star Trek. It’s honestly kinda boring here.

Just because it doesn’t feel retro to the 40 year old who remembers playing the PS2 as a teenager doesn’t mean it’s not retro. Besides, whether or not ordering delivery often depends on what you’re ordering and on your disposable income. McDonald’s is far from the only option, plenty of real restaurants offer delivery too these days. If you can afford it, you can probably eat a fairly healthy diet even if you never cook. Not for me, in no small part because I usually enjoy cooking, but I’m not gonna judge people who don’t. Doesn’t affect me, I’m not gonna go out of my way to be annoyed.

And sometimes you’re too tired for that or want something you can’t reasonably make at home. There’s nothing wrong with ordering food.

As another 90s kid that watched the prequels in theatres as they came out: I enjoyed the originals, even though I was only about half your age at the time. Probably worth noting that my mum made sure that I watched the original trilogy before Phantom Menace. And I’m sorry but the acting in the PT is supposed to be better than in the OT? What? No. Nothing against the actors because a lot of it was due to writing (especially for Anakin and Padmé’s shared scenes, especially especially in II where Anakin is such a fucking creep) and direction, but no.

Around 15% here in Germany. That’s more than I expected, but it isn’t mainstream. At least not in the sense that people will expect MacOS behaviour by default on their computers, or even to the point where you can expect familiarity with MacOS from most users.

We clearly live in different bubbles because this is the first time I’ve seen someone refer to MacOS as “very mainstream”. iOS, sure, but I haven’t seen many Macs out in the wild. It’s certainly not common to the point where people would expect MacOS behaviour as the default.

I don’t think you can lump Endeavour and Garuda together. Yes, they’re both based on Arch but Endeavours basically is Arch with a GUI installer and sane defaults while Garuda changes a ton of things and adds a ton of customisations that make it very different from a plain Arch (or Endeavour) system.

My issue isn’t that it’s breaking sites. It’s the fingerprint resistance making the basic user experience unpleasant. Refusing to remember window size, forcing light mode, etc. I understand why, but those aren’t sacrifices I’m willing to make.

Firefox. Librewolf’s defaults make it very inconvenient to use as a normal, day to day web browser. You can obviously change all of that but at that point you might as well just use Firefox with a handful of add-ons so that’s what I’m doing.
