Outer Wilds is one of my favorite games. If he likes the explorey/other worldly feel of souls games, he might like it, but it certainly doesn’t have any combat.
As for fighting, I’ve recently started replaying Returnal, and I really enjoy that. It’s a well known console game, but I think it came out after 2020. It’s a roguelike format so slightly different from souls, but I love it.
I definitely agree that rent should be much more controlled and affordable. And yeah banks definitely don’t need more money. But a majority of Americans have fixed mortgage rates under 4%, which makes a lot of them keep their old house when they move, and just rent it out. Which just makes it harder for people to break into the housing market. And houses are an investment that renters don’t have access to, and that’s just one of tons of things that keeps poor people poor.
100% agree. It’s crazy that we have 30 year fixed rate loans with basically no penalty to refinance. Don’t get me wrong, it’s working for me, but I wish it was different because it’s so unfair.
Damn, I was going to upvote the comment that says “my computer is on and running, 24 hours a day” but nobody said it yet 🙁 sorry Earth…
You could hammer 100 little tack/nails into a board and hang them vertically. They’d be a lot longer vertically then they are wide, so you could do like 25 across x 4 down. You could maybe even still keep the plastic sleeves on them.
Or find a big donut shaped pillow, with the same diameter as a neck, and put all them on it?
You are a person.
I am a different person.
We are not the same.
I weigh 175lbs naked, but you really can’t trust those grocery store scales.
Ahh, the ole reddit switcharoo

It was quite nice, but the number of elevators that were out of order at major tourist attractions was bonkers. Good luck in Paris if you have mobility issues!
…the confusing text layout.
Me complimenting the relatable experience! Despite…
Holy shit, it all checks out. President Garfield had a nephew named Rutherford B. Lasagna who he gave a high-ranking position to, just two weeks before he was assassinated.

I do get that ultimately that is what the picture is coveying, and I agree with the message, but if the physics of it make me pause, it detracts from the message.
I agree with this image, and I’m quite curious to see what “rich” tastes like… But I feel like the mechanics of this picture took me a second or two longer than it should to understand.
Edit: like are they balancing their unicycles on the larger cylinder? They must have really good balance to manage that for more than a second. And if that is true, what happens if they fall forwards? I see the danger if them falling backwards, but does that mean they just can’t fall forwards?
I meaaaan, while I did join Lemmy because I was sick of reddit the company’s greedy decisions, I do miss the amount of users and content it has/generates. If reddit joining the fediverse meant they couldn’t dictate what app I use to view their posts, I probably would enjoy being able to browse their content again.
I’ll give you $10,000 to swap brains with you so I can play it for the first time again 😄
How about if valve has an agreement with developers where if they release a game in early access, and then abandon it, it switches to free-to-play?
Developers don’t have to pay for the servers, and the source code isn’t released. Gamers get to still play it, if it had any redeeming qualities, or for nostalgia. And valve gets…uhh… community goodwill? Honestly the lack of benefits for valve is probably why this will never happen.
