I ignore epic totally
That’s dumb.
Yeah you can, but it’s damn hard. I’m aware of Daryl and he’s done great things, it it’s a tiny fraction of 1%.
Nah, it’s sports team mentality. You can say any reasoned, logical, humanist argument you want, but people will never turn against their “team”.
That was my first computer! I wanted this game so bad back then, never had it. I’ll have to spin it up on my os-9’ed g4 Mac mini, hopefully it still runs in 9, most things I’ve tried do.
I have one and my kids share it with me, but considering a second. They support profiles. My son plays it on the couch while my daughter watches her shows, and then they’ll put it on the tv and play Mario kart together.
Nah, the 1.4ghz g4 Mac mini is better. It’s old enough that you can get it to boot OS 9 without emulation. I have mine running stuff as far back as system 7. In my experience, sheep shaver is super buggy and doesn’t work with most old games. An os9 mini is effectively the most powerful native os 9 machine you can get, being more than double the speed of the best machine that ever shipped with os9 for boot (not Rosetta). http://macos9lives.com/downloads
Seems like a non issue to me- the usb c placement on the mouse is way more annoying.
Pork is amazing.
The m class machines are so much faster it’s insane. My handbrake encodes got 4-5x faster going from an i9 octo core to an m3 ultra. I saw some speed ups on tasks got from 90 seconds to 5. The fans rarely come on. It’s great!
Because they love the idea of trump sucking Israel’s dick.
I e only ever had Japanese cars, and they’ve all been great. A Nissan, a Toyota, and a Subaru.
8 is way too low for desktop going into 2025. Your machine might scream a lot more with 16- you probably have a lot of memory pressure which means your Mac is compressing ram a lot and maybe paging in and out of disk a lot. Does newer Apple hardware do this well? Sure, but not having to do it at all is way faster and more efficient. Since an extra 8 gigs is cheap (probably like $10-$20) to apples bottom line, it’s kinda lame for it not to be a default, especially since shitty low end machines from other vendors do it.
I have 32 gigs on an m3 and kinda wish I went with 64 :/
Exactly
Books!
Head pointing down kills my neck, I adjust chair and display to make it straight infront of me.
Survivorship bias. The ones that died aren’t there to contradict them.
Not all servers are running on the public internet.
