Sounds like it also lists all dependencies. I would only want a list of those packages that I asked for. Package manager should handle dependencies, not me.

In the EU and its countries the agencies can’t just send their data anymore to microsofts servers. They train is rolling.
This is wrong on so many levels

I guess the best distro for gamers is https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite
I’m no gamer but if I were, I’d go with that. Thus could be helpful as well https://fedoraproject.org/atomic-desktops/
You said arch is not for beginners, OP is asking for a distro to learn. I asked why atomic is not for beginners, not for someone to learn. Op also didn’t say what she wants to learn about linux. Maybe she is no software dev and doesn’t want to learn how to package software. But even then, distrobox is only a few clicks away. Learning how to tweak the system before learning about firewall and other stuff is beyond beginner level in my opinion.
Why wouldn’t an atomic distro not be for beginners?
There’s no reason why a beginner wouldn’t be able to use one. Maybe i’s overwhelming for a power user that doesn’t know linux well but for a beginner who doesn’t use too much functionality it’s perfect. You just use flatpak which you should also do on non atomic distros.
I haven’t used it myseld
Why would it reduce it?
If you want to secure it, use selinux and add :Z which truly eliminates the possibility
WebOS is linux and uses a webview of jellyfin iirc. I use a fire tv stick because it can play everything, including 10bit HDR DV. The ads are annoying but it could be worse. I only use it to start jellyfin and two other apps. I hate needing an amazon account. If you find another android tv stick that works equally well, use that one.
Did you test windows in a VM?
Did you test wine?
You could also just buy an external camera if that’s the problem?
I understand the disliking of windows because of privacy but you use it for work. Windows is not really going to spy on much.
GNU is not Unix
Nice collection.
Have you met logseq? Maybe using multiple files? folders?
Turn off internet
There’s no big difference between ubuntu, mint or debian. I am not sure why people try to sell it to you.
Look up if fedora silverblue supports your stylus. Create a live image and test it. If it works, install it. If not fedora, then opensuse aeon.
I have no idea. Speedport from vodafone, ipv6 is enabled but I don’t use it 😅 I’m not behind some NAT
Cool, thx!
For me to switch, I’d need a simple tutorial on how to do it. Something that I could learn and solve first problems within a day or weekend. I hope it’s not grub like difficult
Come on, you’ve got a password manager that saves passwords and usernames. It couldn’t be more convenient to login.
Why would you give the responsibility to google for your logins?
Why would you lock yourself into the vendor google by using their login system for every other service? You can’t migrate anywhere easily.
I’m just not enabling such a method. It’s not implemented. People who don’t think about it and hence don’t care usually still use the service eveb if they cannot use “login with google”
This is patrick
