Bonus for the toilet right there in the bathroom with no door.
Well, you did continue. Just not to the place where you were expecting to go.
I am old enough to remember when they only had manual screw drivers and thicker wood screws that needed to be pre-drilled and lubed with soap.
Go buy a modern “cheap” wood screw. Not a deck screw. An actual wood screw. Pre-drill the correct size hole, including the countersink, and use the correct size manual Phillips screwdriver. You will never strip out the screws.
Now take a 500 RPM impact driver that has almost enough torque to remove lug nuts, a worn or wrong size bit, and a thin shank screw that was only designed to hold down deck boards and the slightest slip or misalignment and have this photo.
We all do it because it is fast/easy. Just understand that you are doing things the convenient way instead of the right way, and you have to expect the stuff to sometimes not work aa advertised because of it.
For anybody not getting this, there was a 4.5 earthquake in NJ today. Earthquakes strong enough to notice are pretty rare in NJ.
Somebody could go to jail for this. You.
The DMCA makes it a felony to circumvent protections in services. If they wanted to push this and depending on the system disabling or using some hack to bypass could be illegal.
I don’t think that anyone would actually bring the case against an individual, but a company selling any sort of device or instructions to make it easier for people could be targeted.
The government buys your data, too. And not just your government.
For any legal case, government or your spouse’s divorce attorney, it’s a low bar to soupeana “business records” from these companies.
The US needs stronger data protection and privacy laws. Unfortunately, the corporations buy enough politicians to prevent it.
Too bad he wasn’t making dumb comments about Linux.
I’d love to see Linus unload one of his smack down rants on Elon.
Time by Pink Floyd.
Back in the day. Moped, cassette Walkman, and very early wired earbuds. The engine noise covered the several minutes of ticking in the beginning, so it seemed like the tape had stopped. Then the alarm clocks kicked in and startled me so badly that I almost crashed.
The electric requirements would stop you from putting it in your backyard.
The motor is 3 Phase around 150A. Residential areas are generally not wired to be able to offer 3P power to customers. You would likely need to rent some commercial space to be able to get the electric hookup.
+1 for nano. I just need to change two parameters in a config file, not join a religion.
I just searched Costco website and no 27 lb bucket found. I feel betrayed.
You do realize that they are actually tracking the device itself by the hardware MAC address and other device fingerprints.
The email is just a bonus to let them legally spam you. Anti-spam laws have an exemption. If there’s a prior business relationship like shopping in their stores, they can put you on their spam list unless you opt out.
Bogus email only helps for spam but doesn’t do anything about tracking.
EDIT: For Android when there’s a Captive Portal like the screen shot. devices will use Persistent randomization which while not the hardware MAC will remain the same for the same network where they can track your visits.
I was running for a couple of years , and my knee started to give me problems.
I went to an orthopedic Dr, and his advice was to take up swimming and if I wanted to keep running that I should hold on to his business card because someone needed to pay for his kids’ college.
I stopped running soon after and avoided surgery for a decade, but it still caught up with me. Knees are definitely cheap with for-profit healthcare.
