Yeah, I’m actually kinda curious to see what it would do, since the command is pretty nonsensical. Probably just an immediate failure along the lines of “/ is a directory”?

I too cried like that at first.
You’re really throwing out every dishonest rhetorical tactic in the book. Reading this exchange is disgusting.
Aww, probably Hannah. As much as I would want to be surly or jealous of someone else finding their person, I could use some positivity in my life.
Yeah, this meme is a complete whiff, just seems edgy/hipster-y while ignoring the fact that nobody really cares because GNOME is a great DE.
Either that or it’s Yankee Candle holiday time in the Wiseau household
Fedora is security? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love it, it’s my daily driver after trying just about every distro under the sun, but I would’ve figured something like Qubes would stand head and shoulders above it.
Is that color named “Susan Collins”??
This, and further exacerbated by this post where they take no accountability.
To be fair, there are a lot of “XYZ” problems on Stack Overflow where someone’s missing the point with the problem they’re trying to solve.
“I need my script to delete my file, but I can’t figure out the pathing so I delete random files until the correct one is gone. However, it’s slow – how do I speed my script up when deleting random files?”
But then you’d be missing out on the greats, like Party Cannon
Yeah, too fucking late. Already canceled PS Plus.
Agreed. Just canceled PS Plus. Fuck Sony for the shitty bender they’ve been on.
Same, Fedora’s my main driver at this point. It’s the only one that seems to support being close to the edge that well without instability. And I no longer have the patience or risk acceptance for Arch/-derived systems at this point, as much as I enjoy using them as a hobby and to preview the latest tech stacks.
In case anyone else was wondering what got OP’s knickers in a knot: https://lemmy.world/post/19294770
Yeah, lemmy.ml has a kinda of special place in the fediverse. Tolerance of intolerance is how civility dies, no wonder people are eager to space away from that instance.
I think that’s the way both Splunk and JFrog work – you generate or enter a password into the key field in a YAML file somewhere, start the service, and next time you come back the field’s been encrypted.
It’s more over-the-top and arcade-y. Things like volcanos exploding as you ride down the slopes and an indoor mall-like mountain in Tokyo with an air-lift you use to do laps. Note that it’s not free-ride, so there are pluses and minuses to it.
I can confirm both Pixels and Samsung phones have that feature (1/2/4 hours or indefinite). On my current phone (Samsung) you get the option by holding the DND button.
Interesting that Squidward is only happy as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
It’s brave individuals like yourself who are doing the lord’s work 🫡
