It’s definitely the next level of bionic reading.

the real reason he didn’t deduct the wish from your total is because that would make him a wish fund manager
I use .tar.gz in personal backups because it’s built in, and because its the command I could get custom subdirectory exclusion to work on.
I’ve been waiting for a joke like this. In hindsight, it was inevitable.
@carotte@lemmy.blahaj.zone just said about a meme where it is much more obvious, but especially without context I think it could be said again that its mean to the depicted bandit to show im as grumpy and having a disfigured stereotypical bandit chin, except when you know these features have somehow caused him to become a bandit. If they are typical features of a bandit depiction, but not based on the actual appearance of bandits (or whatever the guy even is), then it is sadly a stereotype. I want more people to think these thoughts because I liked them.
what i’ve learned is that I’d much rather live in this echo chamber with windows to the outside than in another echo chamber
I really want to know why they implemented a piece of software that’s this complicated in assembly. Is it just speed? Then I also want to know what all the great numbers of video codecs I have just uncovered after clicking on “the input format must be .y4m” in their Readme. Since OP seem to know about the 306 options of the official AOM encoder a little, and rav1e also sounds rather CLI-heavy, this also gets my uneducated head wondering where these products are used. Do other app developers drop it in like ffmpeg? Probably. It also sounds like Disney & Co. just have some servers that they have scripted to “encode the corporate fortune”. How true is this?
I’ve been thinking: if we’re a nice kind of government, couldn’t we just print the money we’re going to use to for example, give americans in poverty 10000$ ? This would “just devalue the money the rich people have”, so something about international exchange rates is propably the thing that stops me from mentally circumventing the freedom-based value that we can’t just take money people have earned. really gross food for thought
is an administrator someone who administers something?
to be clear: this poll kind of actually exists, but I want to know: did you edit any of that in, and if so, which part?

the image is loaded from top to bottom because my internet is apparently slow, building up to the big reveal.
I recently copied all my files from my SD-Card (“formatted as Internal Storage”) to a safe location, then copied those files to the “Internal storage” part of the rom that opens up after the SD-Card was gone. It worked. on Android 10. Maybe that change was later. Android storage looks weird from the outside anyway. It was as if only the publically visible files Apps want you to see got on the SD-Card, and then each app has some hidden folder (that apps like termux or apps with custom-built file pickers sometimes kind of let you half-guess the structure of (my head: no details) and) that appeared to have been on the built-in rom all along. That copy operation now lets me remove my SD Card w/o moving all my Images and less than half of my apps files. </irrelevant-context>
