  • Any chance? Why, are you thinking we’ve tried everything? or anything at all?

I’ll assume good intent for a minute that your question is an honest one.

Lets start with people having rights in airports. Maybe you miss your plane if you assert those rights but tsa agents with a few days of training should not wield the absolute authority they wield. They are trained little better than rent a cops and their authority should be commensurate with that. They should be accountable for the experience they provide to the public. They should accept feedback, on a curve of course, and the bad TSA personnel should be fired. They need to be accountable for some level of professionalism when interacting with the public.

TSA should be trained in deescalation skills. Police should as well. This absolutist thuggery cops and tsa agents like to leverage should not be permitted in a civilized society, and there should be real avenues for the public to cite abuse. If we are honest with ourselves, there arent even handed ways to cite and act on abuse, and thats a reflection of abject effing failure of law enforcement and tsa’s leadership. Yes, there are bad travelers, but theres bad authority figures as well, and the thoroughly planned lack of oversight shows that pretty amply. Where is the accountability with these little tyrants?

From there lets talk about their budget. Its bloated. They have ai programs for detecting threats that are completely unproven. Their equipment deployments are expensive and poorly managed. They should be given barebones security guard level funding because thats exactly what they are. Lets not pretend these are crime fighting heros. They are overpaid mallcops getting what results can be gotten from manning a metal detector. Thats it.

Cargo containers are not thoroughly searched-- we trust senders to be honest about whats in them. TSA’s budget bloat can be redirected to beef up cargo security.

There are redundancies and inadequacies in the current process. Why not have some new process flows for bag scanning? Bag scanning is a chokepoint for people that should be distributed. The airport layout should optimize for this. Its not.

Why has TSA allowed Clear and other companies to sell a nicer version for the rich, that literally closes the walkway to allow their clients to saunter through the queue in a privelaged manner? That should never have been allowed. My time is not theirs to sell. That needs to be ended and the people who approved it fired.

Why am I not allowed to say anything that a TSA agent doesnt like? This is America, and free speech applies even in airports. They have taken this “terrorism” to an absurd degree and they need adult supervision. There should be no such thing as “contempt of TSA agent” that ejects you from your flight. I can consent to security, but I do not consent to mallcops being empowered to cancel my travel on their whim if they are having a bad day and feel bad about their life choices. I dont care if they dont like my tone or a joke of mine. Does it threaten anyone? No. Unless they find something like a bomb or a gun in my bag, they should mind their own effing business and leave us all alone. And if I ask a question, I should have an expectation that they will answer professionally.

  • Frame it how you’d like, and I’ll frame it how I like. And I’ll happily vote similarly in 2026 and 2028 too. Until the dems get more scared of losing elections from a lack of progressive support than they are scared of losing far right AIPAC donations, they get zero support from me and the progressives I know, and they cant win an election without us unless they find a whole lot of republican votes-- which they have zero chance of getting.

Let us know how that turns out. Until then, get used to AIPAC buying you like a cheap mercenary to support ever greater war crimes. Even after they kill everyone in Gaza and the west bank, they wont stop there. Its on to Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, then Egypt. Someone needs man/woman-up and tell them no.

  • The voters, genuinely. Because they misunderstood what the vote meant.

If the dems required we all support a literal far right fascist genocide, or else let trump take office, then the dems are fascists. The fascist dems can go fuck themselves right along with the fascist republicans. I dont vote in support of genocide of innocents, and neither should any of you. regardless of the cost..

Ok, but no one here said that. Thats a strawman liberals put up to avoid a few topics.

Those topics you’d rather not talk about:

Is all of gaza destroyed right now or not? Were tens of thousands of innocent civilians massacred there with our help on Bidens watch?

If you admit the above then he’s a war criminal isnt he.

Bidens response to the defund and reallocate movement for justice was to ignore the plees and increase police funding, correct?

Did abortion go down on Bidens watch? Did his previous work as head of the senate judiciary committee contribute to that?

Didnt Biden carry through with his promise to the rich donors that “nothing would fundamentally change”?

Biden and Harris were not for gun control were they. Are guns just not a problem anymore in our schools? School shootings stopped?

Did the Dems talk about the issues important to the poor and middle class? They sure needed their votes.

Did Biden have the polling numbers to win at any time in the 2 years leading up to the election? And did Harris do anything to differentiate herself from what was clearly a candidate who was about to lose in a big way?

Did Biden/Harris even bother to craft and talk about a Dem party platform? All we heard was “I’m not trump”.

Do you think if Harris had differentiated herself from Biden, talked about the poor and working class’s struggles and afirmed that the gaza war had to change, she would have still lost? I dont think so. But she chose not to do those things right.

And now Biden/Harris lost but its everyone elses “fault”? come on man. Stop lying to yourself and holding a pointless grudge and leveling these “both sides are the same” playground name calling distractions from these truths. Biden and Harris made the choices that led to the loss. They are not victim here, they are the perpetrators. We all got effed by their incomptence and hubris. Every demographic of voter was angry at Biden/Harris. Do you deny that?

You shouldnt be blaming the desperate voters who have been ignored and abused by their party, while excluding Biden/Harris from any blame. Some of you lot keep saying he’s one of the best presidents ever-- when all of the above topics argue pretty strongly otherwise, if you;d just acknowledge that the topics even exist.

But you wont. You wont reply, you’ll downvote, and thats the end of it for you.

  • When is it “neccessary” to poach an egg instead of hard boil? I guess the 70s was a strange time. It was half a century ago and no one had computers or cell phones back then. I think people sat around and played monopoly.

One bottle a day per person. Boooo. Maybe get the double sized bottle then. The cheap ones they sell at the drugstore. And drinking wine and coffee in the same meal, nice. Maybe mix them together. It says chablis only, a regional subset of chardonays. Seems a little bit strict-- I again blame the 70s.

OK damnit, I’m in with you OP. First one to -5 pounds (or death) wins. Shall we bet?
