I bought 50 blades and a box of Arko sticks for like $30 a decade ago and I’m still going through them.
Pokemon Silver. Beat the Elite 4 and surprise now you get to go back to Kanto.
Just played around with it a little and it is much more tolerable than OP makes it look like. I wasn’t able to get it as compact as the default view but I don’t hate it.
I never had an issue using right handed desks as a lefty. Or most other right handed things now that I think about it.
I go back and rewatch movies or replay games I’ve forgotten about all the time and that’s just like within the last few years. The universe will have plenty of repeatability.
My other comment was blunt so here’s my attempt to be more constructive, this is all my personal opinion and my reaction was in response to making it the default I don’t think that you should stop working on it or even that I am objectively correct.
There is way too much empty space. I don’t use it but from OPs screenshot it appears this is to allow for larger thumbnails. It would be better to have them smaller and expandable if someone finds one interesting. Moving the thumbnails to the left of the text would eliminate all the blank space your eyes have to travel across to view them as well.
Shitty microsoft paint edits to demonstrate what I’m trying to say:
Freed up space in green:
Compact is certainly better than what OP showed. Frankly I’m fine with driving everyone that thinks the “cozy” view is acceptable away from this platform. I’m not interested in whatever other terrible opinions they’d be sharing here.
Yea, I hate that trend. Especially when it’s used for information pages about products and you have to constantly scroll around and deal with weird slideshow things to find what you’re looking for (if useful information is even present at all).
That UI is dogshit. Lemmy is a link aggregator and you’re saying it should show 2 links on the screen at a time? New Reddit is shit for the same reason.
Looks like the Wolf-man got bit by chihuahua instead.
I had a similar experience with a diagnostic machine at my high schools auto shop. That thing had just been sitting around for like a decade before I figured out how to get it going for the teacher. I had been using dos since before I can remember to play games on my dad’s PC. I didn’t understand a ton of it because he just gave us a notebook with the commands to type to start the game but I think starting with it so young really helped wire my brain for using computers because when I came back to it when I was older everything just clicked.
Were you the admins at my grade school? Because I may or may not have been responsible for that…
Same, I’ve never even thought to try it at the grocery store. I always have produce and alcohol and I’m not about to try to fuck with all that on self-service. Cashiers can do it faster. I sometimes use it at big box stores if I only have a couple things but for the most part I wait until I’m in dire need before I go out to the store so I usually end up getting a bunch of stuff at once.
I mean… If they’re forced to game the system so they stay just below the “rich” threshold all that extra money has to go somewhere besides their pocket.
I certainly don’t. It’s a huge part (besides cost) of why I find the prospect of travelling to other countries to be very intimidating. I don’t want to be a pain in the ass for the locals when I can’t communicate with them properly.
My niece showed up to Thanksgiving in a pair of them and was lecturing her brother on how he doesn’t understand baggy clothes. I was like I lived through the last time these were popular and I still don’t understand it.
In my school the bullies rarely used actual physical violence. It was all threats and toeing the line while using their elevated position in the social hierarchy to make fun of the lower kids for anything and everything. The other kids couldn’t fight back because no one else would ever side with them and risk becoming a target as well.
