Page mentions “Notice of Amendment(s) to the United States PayPal Agreement(s)”. So it’s likely US only (for now).
If you don’t see the “Data and Privacy” option to opt out on their website or app. Then it’s likely they are not sharing your data, yet.
US has been playing catch up for decades. FedNow was implemented in 2023 to allow instant P2P payments between banks thereby eliminating the need for PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, et al.
It will take some time before we see banks make this fully available to everyone and subsequently merchants using it.
I don’t care what they call it. Call it “dogsh1t” for all I care.
I just want high refresh rate, at least 4K support, 32”, and sub millisecond response times.
I use Arch, btw
You mean electron based apps? Yea I hate those. Discord, Slack are the worst. MS teams is cancer.
l personally don’t mind apps you can load through your favorite browser. Instant cross platform compatibility. I think there are some arbitrary connection limitations that make bandwidth or latency intensive apps less than ideal though.
Negative attention is PR, never the less. It will drag on in courts. Probably pay a small fine but the $$$ from publicity stunt to outweigh court fine
The response time to that “rush” was god awful. This is what happens when you pick the bottom of the barrel security agency to do event sec work
I just sell my shower water.
Thanks to DMCA, circumventing this protection and sharing it with people is illegal.
Honestly hasn’t stopped people in the past but I suspect it hasn’t been cracked because of how it connects to an external server to verify. Probably need to patch the firmware entirely
It’s crazy how the people and govt have let this go on for so long. This has been a known issue with consumer grade printers for a long time now. I remember my parents bitching about ink costs when I was in grade school. Now these companies have raced to the bottom and are locking them down.
Personally, I have found myself to print less than a dozen pages per year. Usually it’s some government office that wants hard copy. For every instance, I just used my local Office Depot to handle all of my printing needs. So glad I don’t have to deal with printer bs
I think if Steve was still CEO. Apple might have been able to push out a “disruptor”. But unfortunately Tim Cook took the reins and the program was essentially dead on arrival. The short EV hype brought it back from the dead but ultimately suffered the same fate.
Tim Cook is better than most CEOs but he’s definitely not a Steve Jobs-type.
I have been making contributions to the sub I created. Posts occasionally reach the fp with some upvotes and comments.
I haven’t been active lately tho
Bro I re-created that sub here a couple months back. Hasn’t caught traction yet
Answer “yes” and a trap door is activated and you are sent directly to Guantanamo Bay for further processing by “Big Bob” and his cock meat sandwich.
Looks fake. Probably why. Lighting is all fucked. Ground not consistent with massive sign lit up. 🚩
Seems pp rolled this “feature” out to USA only due to our lax regulations on privacy. Another user (in Canada) pointed out the option was not seen in Profile & Data
