We thought you didn’t know the band members, not the definition of mirage and oasis.

A mirage is an optical illusion, very commonly seen in the desert, and often portrayed as a wonderful water oasis when a person is dehydrated and lost. Of course, the band Oasis isn’t standing in the desert either, so it must be a mirage too.

I’m an absolutely fantastic employee, at least, my performance reviews and bonuses support the image. I also have absolutely terrible anxiety about mundane deadlines. Some paperwork that takes 3 minutes might be put off for an extra day or two while I spend hours day and night on my actual responsibilities. It’s an issue.

I’d start the job hunt now…

People dealing with these types of issues are just a little tired of hearing “just go for a walk, drink some water, and go to sleep” from everyone, nothing personal.
