Lutris is a game launcher for Linux that can install games from your GOG, Epic, and Steam accounts. I believe it even supports Proton which is a compatibility layer to run Windows games on Linux (which is a Valve project that is based on Wine).

You speak of copyright infringement. Some people call it IP theft but in reality it has nothing to do with stealing in the traditional sense of the word (such as stealing a bicycle). You can’t actually steal something that’s still there after you “take it.”

I remember getting a device that came with Vista. I reinstalled Vista on it and it still sucked. I then installed a pirated version of Windows 7 on it; the performance difference was night and day. It’s not @TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world’s fault that Microsoft is certifying incompatible hardware.

I’m laughing at myself right now. I keep wishing people would switch to more progressive politics when people cannot even switch to a free piece of software with zero drawbacks even when their software starts blocking other software they use.
