Crickets and other insects meant for consumption are actually pretty expensive, so that cant be real. There is so much cheaper food that you would actually want to eat.
I love trying out insect based food, and every time it was a lot more expensive, drier, and tasted worse than other options, so I cant imagine something like this actually going mainstream.
No, this is mainly about power profiles and things like changing the colour of the keyboard lights, details that usually dont work anyway on laptops. Or at least it didnt work on the ones I had.
I have a tuxedo laptop and I put a different OS on it, works just fine. You even get support. I didnt even notice that the power profiles didnt work until I read this blog post.

I used it as my main DE a few years ago, its great! Really cool UI, completely different to all other DE’s but it makes sense, and it has some cool stylings like for example virtual desktops icons being the actual desktops, just really tiny. The bugs, however, kept piling up, and it (segmentation fault)ed too often, so I had to abandon it. Last I heard, the reason it doesn’t get major dev work anymore is that its really hard to work with.
Tuxkart is really great! One of the really good FOSS games, it has multiplayer and it even supports the wiimote :)

yes, mine are similar. I used to run kde plasma while generating but plasma took too much vram, so now im using icewm. I noticed that the crashes happen when something needed vram when its already all used, so thats why icewm reduces crashes, since its very light on resources.
I have run Stable Diffusion models successfully with my ancient Vega 64 with 8 gb vram. However, it does occasionally run out of memory and crash when I run models that want all 8 gigs. I have to run it without a proper DE(openbox, falkon browser with one tab only) if I dont want it to crash frequently.

They recently added support for this in the kernel for AMD cpu cores, so this might have changed.
