Hugo is also pretty cool.

You can use Waydroid on PostmarketOS to install Android apps. It basically runs a full VM for you.
FYI, you can play Java edition on Android using Pojavlauncher.
I wonder how many people would notice if when upgrading from windows 10 to 11, windows is replaced by KDE themed to look like windows 11.
Yes. I’ve only tested it manually scanning to save battery life though.
There is also a FOSS app called Airguard on F-Droid that I found works well.
This would be very useful for offline installation.
Fairphone’s support of PostmarketOs shows me that they actually care about their mission.
DivestOS is pretty awesome. It allows for bootloader locking, which Lineage can’t do IIRC and it runs very fast on my Pixel 2 xl.
Exactly this. I use Signal for people close to me and SMS or Email for those who don’t use signal, who I don’t have coversations with often anyways. Dispite it’s many, many flaws, I will use SMS before I use a Meta messenger.
This is my dream setup for messaging as well. My problem is that I would not trust 3rd parties to host this setup, but I also have not gotten around to setting it up myself lol.
The point of blinking bike lights is to be noticed by drivers. Once noticed, divers are able to track you using their headlights and your reflectors.
Using blinking lights also means I can use a bright light while not running out of battery in the middle of my trip.
A tungstun cube should prevent any abductions by UFO.
I seldom install windows, so I also have to relearn some things during the debloat. At 10 minutes, you are basically speedrunning the windows installation process lol.
Unfortunatly, that’s the reality of how computers are sold. If customers could try out both windows and Ubuntu at the store before buying and then got the variant with that OS preinstalled, I bet more people might use Linux, especially if they saved money by not paying for a windows license.
I would argue it takes even longer to get a windows install how I like it. Even using Chris Titus Tech’s tool, it probably takes 2 hours for me to install things like winget, steam, librewolf, libreoffice, blender and configure the task bar and lock screen. Not to mention how last time I checked, I could not rebind the windows key to trigger the app overview how I like it.
I did not realize “spezit” was “spez” and “reddit” until I reread your commnt lol. I thought was some reddit privacy frontend with the German pronunciation of “z”.

As someone who uses Gnome familly applications daily, I have to disagree with the notion that bad UX is fundamental to FOSS software. The gnome apps and shell all follow the same set of UX guidelines and feel quite cohesive as a result. I can definetly see where you get the idea of bad UX in foss though (looking at you, GIMP and Libreoffice)
Same result here. I’m using Gnome-web, which is already pretty niche, so that probably really lowers my score.
