My most downvoted ones are the ones related to what I didn’t think would be considered chaos-summoning conspiracy theories.

Not just there but also here too.

The moon landing happened. With technology available at that time, it would not have been possible to fake in that way.

You are getting downvoted because you’re just wrong.

You’re denying the moon landing happened although the moon landing definitely, demonstrably happened. You’re getting downvoted for peddling batshit.

A prerequisite of peddling is wishing to influence others.

That isn’t true. Peddling is independent of the peddler’s motivation/intent.

        I second this. Definitely offensive.

It’s offensive for having a belief?

Lots of beliefs are offensive. For example, Sandy Hook deniers.

That’s said to be offensive because it has to do with a tragedy. I would not see what’s “tragic” about whether there was a moon landing or not to consider it offensive.

Your belief contradicts trivially-observable reality - you’re making falsifiable claims that have, in fact, been proven false, and 10 to 15 seconds of internet searching would suffice for anyone, including you, to see that.

Easy example: the parabolic arc of the dust thrown up by the lander tires would have cost more than every penny the USA had at the time to fake.

If they have been proven false, they have been proven false in a way that is questionable. I maintain this conclusion of mine and don’t know how it’s considered bothersome to simply have it without trying to change or influence anyone even if I’ve shared what I think a few times.

I thought the most ironclad proof was the retroreflectors we installed there.

Your practising of your belief makes the world a worse place, so… yes.

What was their belief? Asking as their comment says it was removed.
