They even have a liqueur with chocolate flakes called hagelschlager.
J/k however they is a liquorice flavored liqueur called dropshot, as drop is Dutch for liquorice.

I don’t understand how other countries manage to remain civilised without eating a broodje hagelslag regularly.
I can barely manage. But it gets better every time I visit the Netherlands.
